The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo marked a significant milestone in it's prepartions for this seasons military extravaganza. I was at Edinburgh Castle this morning to record the topping out ceremony of their new £16 million grandstand. The development which was partially funded by the Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise and the City of Edinburgh Council has been constructed by Sir Robert McAlpine. The new facilty will open to the public when the Tattoo commences on August 5th. Pictured is Tattoo Chief Executive and Producer Brigadier David Alfrey and Tom Chambers, Major Developments Manager with the team of construction workers at the Topping Out Ceremony.
